Oh wow I had no idea that they were so many. I never heard of photoshop elements till you mentioned it Rachel. I always hear people using CS or CS2. There are so many products these days that if your a beginner at this you really have a hard time chosing one. I guess price will always be one way to chose what you buy. For example I need AutoCad for my uni. It's an architectural program and when I saw the price I almost fainted. I think they are all so overpriced it's insane

I also used AutoCAD at uni but that was cheap compared to another 3D rendering package we used. It was called ProEngineer and is used by aircraft and car designers - to mention a couple - I recall the lecturer mentioning it cost £40,000 to put it onto 10 computers - probably don't need to mention that none of us had this one on our personal PCs!!!!

Autocad?! Hey, I used to use that all the time! I wouldn't recommend buying it because you really need a high-end computer to install it on with tons of memory. I would just use the campus computers to do all your assignments there. ;D

I think I should also add that if you can you should try to purchase a tablet to use along with Photoshop. That way, you can use the pen stylus instead of a mouse. ;D

ooo yeah I know Kathryn, thanks for translating that for everyone, Keith Painter X is amazing, I love using tablets in school because you can draw some amazing things on it like we did a school project in school for the 5 mission statements with CLC - city learning centre and I drew hands praying and coloured it, was really good, but don't think I know where it is. It's on CLC computers but ah well, it's on the banner have to take a photo sometime or might be on school computers.
