Firstly, lets start with a model that I painted for Kathryn. We play a very silly game called Munchkin that makes fun of role playing games and the people who play them. If anyone is interested, I can send you the link to the game... Anyway, several of the characters from the game have been made into 25mm miniatures, and one of them is this Warrior Princess. The miniature is metal, which is undercoated in white and then painted with acrylics. Just a bit of fun really, it makes us giggle!! ;D

These are from one of my other hobbies - wargaming. I use 20mm miniatures to recreate historical conflicts, these are from Vietnam. The hull of tank is moulded from resin and the accessories (gun barrel, machine gun, crew figures) are metal. The soldiers are metal. The tank was painted in slightly different way. After undercoating in black, the colour is built up in several ever-lighter shades of green using a make up sponge. This allows the darker corners to remain black while the prominent parts are highlighted. Once the green is done, the details are then hand-painted with acrylics. Please bear in mind that these models are simplified for wargames, and so the paint scheme is not intended for close scrutiny. Anyway, I'm quite proud of my tanks, they look good when placed in amongst some scenery. Tanks for looking!!! ;D

Wow Dave those look amazing and it looks like they need a lot of patience. I always loved miniatures but I don't think I would have the patience for them

Nice work for little miniatures, I guess you must have painted dozens of these if you use them for wargaming.

The 20mm miniatures probably take about an hour each - the wonderful thing about these things is that you can set up a production line. I do about 15 figures at once (or 2-3 of the vehicles). If you start at one end using a particular colour, by the time you've got to the other end, the pait on the first has dried, and you can start with the next colour.... Once they're done, I'll spray-varnish them 2 or 3 times, and they're ready. And the game, Munchkin, can be found at www.sjgames.com/munchkin/game/. It's just plain silly, but loads of fun. Here's one of the cards:

True but I hate to paint armies it's so boring. Just like to paint special characters. Anyway really nice job you've done on your models.
